After his Postdoc he received a Ramon y Cajal tenure-track contract (2007) from the Spanish Ministry of Science to return to Spain at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC). ![]() ![]() He then moved in the laboratory of Prof Britt-Marie Sjöberg from the Department of Molecular Biology and Functional Genomics at the Stockholm University in Sweden first as a postdoc and then as a researcher (2004-2007). S.A, an international company leader in clinical diagnostic reagents belonging to the Werfen group. From 20 he was a researcher at the R&D department at Biokit. During this time he spend 20 months at Karolinska Institute in Sweden with the supervision of Prof. ![]() Eduard Torrents obtained his PhD in microbiology in 2001 from the Science Faculty at the University Autonomous of Barcelona.
